River & Wild Co.’s mission is to deepen our community’s connection with nature by honoring the quiet, often unnoticed beauty of local wildlife, landscapes, and waterways. Through images, guided experiences, and thoughtful reflection, we aim to spark curiosity, inspire mindfulness, and encourage others to explore the wild spaces just beyond their doorstep.

About the Photographer & Author
Christine Dyer is a self-taught birder and photographer whose work reflects a growing cultural shift toward slowing down and reconnecting with the natural world. What began as simple walks along New Jersey’s Rahway River to reset mentally while her children were in preschool grew into an eight-year journey documenting migratory birds, seasonal rhythms, and the quiet wonder of local wildlife. With her camera in hand, she captured light, wildlife, and the shifting seasons, creating a fine-art coffee-table book that has found 180 homes across the country in just eight weeks—proof of a broader desire to step away from screens and rediscover the beauty waiting just outside our doors.
Before founding River & Wild Co., Christine spent more than 25 years in marketing, including pioneering social media for wedding professionals with BridalTweet, and roles at American Express and various advertising agencies. She holds both a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. In her free time, Christine enjoys playing pickleball, leading Girl Scouts, and traveling with her husband and two children.
